Start with a public post
Find the individual X post that contains the clip you want. Use its Share menu to copy a link, then paste the address in the downloader above. The service recognizes X and legacy Twitter post links when they include a status identifier. A link to a user profile or a post conversation may not point directly to the video, so open the post and copy its own address.
Check access before downloading
The original post must be publicly visible and the media must be available to an unauthenticated visitor. If X asks you to sign in, the downloader is unlikely to retrieve the clip. Deleted posts, protected accounts, and unavailable broadcasts are not supported. If you manage to view it while signed in, that alone does not mean the media is public or that the server can access it.
Select an available resolution
The result card lists quality choices the downloader can request. A higher resolution can look clearer on a larger screen but may take longer and use more storage. The most suitable choice depends on the intended display and whether you are using mobile data. Sometimes X only provides one usable rendition, so a list with fewer choices does not necessarily mean something is broken.
Troubleshoot patiently
If a valid public post fails, check that it still plays on X and that your copied link includes its status number. Wait and retry if the service reports a temporary rate limit. Repeated rapid attempts can prolong restrictions. If no video appears, the post may contain an image, an unsupported live stream, or a clip whose media is temporarily unavailable.
Use saved media responsibly
Downloading a public clip does not transfer ownership or permission to republish it. Keep a copy for a legitimate personal purpose, credit the creator when appropriate, and ask for permission before sharing outside the original context.
