THREE QUICK STEPS
Use Chrome or another modern Android browser to save videos from public X posts.
Copy the link from the public X video post.
Paste it into the downloader and request the video.
Choose a quality and find the file in Downloads.
Open the post with the video, tap Share, then select Copy link. In your browser, return to X, open the specific post, and copy its address from the address bar if that is easier. Paste the complete post URL into the downloader. The link should identify one status rather than a profile, search result, or feed.
When video options appear, select the resolution that fits your phone and the way you plan to watch. Larger resolutions can offer more detail on a big screen but need additional data and storage. If your connection is slow, use Wi-Fi or choose a smaller listed quality. The available options vary because X does not provide the same renditions for every clip.
Chrome typically saves completed files to the Downloads folder. Swipe down to open notifications after the transfer, or open the Files by Google app and tap Downloads. The video may also appear in Gallery after the device scans the file. If the browser shows a preview, use its download control or the system Share menu to save a local copy.
Clipboard access is optional: if the Paste button is blocked, tap the input and use the keyboard Paste command. Keep the page open until the download begins. If an error says the post is unavailable, verify that it is public and still plays. A temporary server error or X rate limit may clear after waiting before another attempt.
A saved file can be watched offline, but it does not include the creator’s permission to upload it elsewhere. Check copyright and platform terms before sharing. Avoid claiming another person’s clip as your own, and keep attribution attached when appropriate. XMediaGrabber is an independent website, not an official service from X Corp.
Android gives you several ways to confirm that a transfer finished. Chrome may show a download chip or notification; tap it to open the file, then use the three-dot menu to share or move it. If Gallery does not show the clip, open Files by Google, inspect Downloads, and check that the filename ends in .mp4. Media scanning can take a moment after a large transfer. You can move a personal copy into Movies or another folder that your preferred player indexes. Do not rename the extension unless you know the file type, because changing the label does not convert the underlying video. Keep enough free storage for the complete file, especially when selecting a high-resolution rendition.
