THREE QUICK STEPS
Safari’s save action differs on Mac and iPhone, so start from a public status and use the download location for the device in hand.
In Safari, copy the public status URL and paste it into the downloader page.
Choose an available rendition, then watch Safari’s download indicator or follow its media preview.
On Mac, reveal the item in Finder; on iPhone, open Files and check Downloads or Recents.
Open the individual public post and use its share control to copy the status link. Paste it into the downloader in Safari, then wait for the requested formats. The URL should identify one status, not a profile or conversation search. If you copied the link in the X app, return to Safari through the app switcher and paste into the labeled field. Manual paste remains available if the browser does not offer clipboard suggestions or if you prefer not to grant page clipboard access.
On a Mac, Safari’s Downloads button opens the recent file list; use the magnifying glass or Finder action to reveal the item. Safari generally uses the Downloads folder, though its settings can point elsewhere. On iPhone, Safari may show a media preview or a download indicator. Check the Files app’s Downloads folder, then use the Share sheet for additional destinations. Apple’s interface labels can change between system releases, so rely on the file manager and browser list rather than a fixed screenshot.
A preview may simply be the browser displaying a playable response; inspect the download list before starting another request. If no file is listed, retry from the result page while connected to a stable network. On Mac, check storage and the download destination in Safari settings. On iPhone, verify Files has space and check both iCloud Drive and On My iPhone. If extraction reports a private or unavailable post, browser permissions will not resolve the access issue.
